New app to calculate stepped starters coming in sprint 2015.
This is a licensed iPhone implementation of the Mr. Malty Pitching Rate Calculator. It can calculate starter sizes, amount of yeast required, the effect of stir plates, dry yeast rates, yeast viability,and lots more. It uses the same proprietary formulas as the calculator on www.mrmalty.com.

Handy But Needs More Value
Works exactly like the online version but how its worth $5 is beyond me....maybe if it had more value like say a multi stage starter mode. Im not pitching 6 packs of old yeast, I would always do stages in that case...

Doesnt calculate properly
Since the new update, it isnt calculating starter sizes properly. Its saying I need a 26L starter for 5 gallons of 1.054 wort.

Great App!
Having this calculator in my phone helps a ton. I can plug in the yeast expiration dates while at the homebrew store and see exactly how many vials or how large a starter I will need.

Great app
Very handy to at the shop to figure out how many packs of yeast to buy based on the packaged date, which you dont know til you get there. Thanks Jamil.
